New Germany home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in New Germany fell by $51,075 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $138,925 - a 26.9% decrease over the $190,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in New Germany in the second quarter of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in New Germany for 2018 was $2,706. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,462. This marks an increase of 9.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
