Mayer home prices rise in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Mayer rose by $16,450 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $242,450 - a 7.3% increase over the $226,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Mayer in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Mayer for 2018 was $2,948. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,844. This marks an increase of 3.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
