Mayer home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Mayer rose by $39,950 while total sales remained unchanged with 12 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 12 homes sold, with a median sale price of $254,900 - a 18.6% increase over the $214,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Mayer in the fourth quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Mayer for 2017 was $2,844. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,836. This marks an increase of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
