Chaska home prices rise in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Chaska rose by $1,100 while total sales increased by 11.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 467 homes sold, with a median sale price of $261,000 - a 0.4% increase over the $259,900 median sale price for the previous year. There were 418 homes sold in Chaska in 2017.

The median sales tax in Chaska for 2018 was $3,128. In 2017, the median sales tax was $3,052. This marks an increase of 2.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
