Hamburg home prices fall in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Hamburg fell by $16,001 while total sales remained unchanged with six homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $152,250 - a 9.5% decrease over the $168,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Hamburg in the second half of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Hamburg for 2018 was $2,370. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,140. This marks an increase of 10.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.6%.
