McLeod County Board is updating its sick leave policy to align with the spreading of the coronavirus, according to Hutchinson Leader.

In light of the pandemic, 80 hours of paid sick leave for illnesses connected to the coronavirus are now available for workers. While this is comparable to a previous policy, the updated one now complies with federal regulations.

It also greenlights a reimbursement for 80 hours of sick leave that workers could use before accumulation.

At the same time, the McLeod County Board took time to manage and evaluate its facility response considered access has been pushed back to April 10. Still, in light of the continuous spread of COVID-19, that deferment could be pushed back even further.

The county is keeping residents up to date on its website and its official Facebook page.

Inquiries can also be answered over the phone and email.

In the meantime, the driver’s license center is no longer open to the public.
