Plymouth Metrolink helped voters get to the polls on Nov. 3.
The transportation service provided free rides to and from polling locations through its Dial-A-Ride shuttle, according to the City of Plymouth’s website. The rides were available on a first-come, first-served basis between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The free rides only pertained to polling locations located within the city.
Plymouth Metrolink recently implemented route and schedule changes following six months of reduced services as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a Rider Alert notification posted on the city’s website.
As of Sept. 12, Route 747 no longer serves Carlson Towers but is serving Station 73 while Routes 774 and 772 have been combined into a single route. Additionally, Route 795 is now operating at its pre-pandemic schedule while Routes 776 and 790 are operating at reduced schedules. Dial-A-Ride weekend service has also been added.
