The Minnesota Republican Party is flagging Carver County’s results in what they are deeming unexplainable voter anomalies.
“Carver County saw a 43.1% increase in votes for Biden in 2020 versus a 3.7% growth in 2016 and a .4% growth in 2012 for the Democratic candidate for President,” Minnesota Republican Party Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan said in a tweet.
Carnahan pointed to Carver County after stating “data abnormalities” had been uncovered prompting the party to undertake a deeper look aimed at the state’s results.
“As we've been analyzing vote results in Minnesota, we are seeing extreme data abnormalities, that from a statistical variance standpoint, do not make sense. Sometimes it takes digging deep enough to uncover information that is completely 'off.' More to come soon…” Carnahan said in a tweet.
Joe Biden beat Donald Trump by 232,657 votes statewide with 52.6 percent of the vote according to the latest available data.
It is unlikely any finding would derail Biden’s overwhelming victory in the state. Rather, Carnahan said the question was one of ensuring fundamental democracy.
“These data abnormalities tells us something is off. It is our responsibility to shed light on these abnormalities, ensure the election was administered fairly, verify there were no failures and stand behind our fundamental rights as Americans,” she said.
