City Of Chanhassen issued the following announcement on Jan. 07.
This winter is the third largest snowfall in history for the Twin Cities area! During this multi-day snowstorm, Chanhassen received about 14.5 inches of snow. The city had 19 public works employees plowing our 115 miles of streets, some of which were plowed as many as five times, totaling over 650 hours of plowing.
Our 10-person parks maintenance team continues to plow our 65 miles of trails and sidewalks, which equals over 420 hours of snow clearing. Thank you, Chan plow drivers, for another exceptional response to this winter snowfall.
Remember it is helpful to remove any snow and ice within a three-foot perimeter if you have a hydrant outside your home so there is a clear path for the Firefighters.
