Minnetonka West Middle School issued the following announcement on Feb. 14.
To celebrate the spirit of kindness and care, Amy Altenburg's Kindergarten class at Scenic Heights Elementary School decided to do a service project instead of a Valentine’s Day party. Staff and families collected diapers, wipes, baby care items and household cleaning supplies.
Twenty-three bags of supplies and Valentine's Day cards were made by the students and donated to the Resource West in Hopkins, an agency that serves residents in the west metro.
