City Of Chanhassen issued the following announcement on Mar. 15.
Interested in making your home more energy efficient? Try one of these options:
Insulate your doors/windows/attic.
Use smart devices or timers on your thermostats, lights, TV, computers, etc.
Use ceiling fans to circulate air.
Hot water heaters are the #2 energy user in your house. Insulate the tank & hot pipe, turn down the temperature of the tank, & try to be efficient with hot water use.
Change or clean vents and filters, such as your furnace, dryer, refrigerator, & intake vents.
Consider signing up for a peak power savings program with your power company & try to limit electricity use from 4-8 PM-peak use hours.
