Chaska City - Mn issued the following announcement on Mar. 20.
Today, we are celebrating Mary Bello! If you go to a community event in Chaska, chances are you will see Mary there helping out or promoting the event on Facebook Live.
Mary runs a local radio station called La Nueva Joya Radio, volunteers as a CERT member for the Chaska Police Department, helps the City with Spanish translations, promotes what's happening in Chaska and so much more.
Here's what the people who nominated Mary had to say:
"Mary is AWESOME and a GREAT advocate for the Latino Community in Chaska. No matter if it's raining or snowing, she is always there, supporting seniors, families, etc. She shares the news to our community. We learn about events and resources in Spanish."
"Mary is a good person. She loves the city of Chaska, and I see that she likes to help."
