AJ Newell, former Southwest Christian High School standout’s collegiate team plays on Friday, May 16 in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Friday, May 16, former Southwest Christian High School standout AJ Newell’s current collegiate team the Westmont Warriors won 8-1 against the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Russell Carr Field at 12 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters in the tournament.

The Westmont Warriors’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at Russell Carr Field.
