Julia Coleman, a Minnesota state senator, has recently used her social media platform to address public safety concerns and share personal reflections. In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Coleman discussed legislative priorities, family moments, and reactions to recent events.

On September 8, 2025, Coleman highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen laws regarding police pursuits in Minnesota. She wrote, "KSTP recently featured my renewed call to increase penalties for fleeing police. After my family was caught in the middle of a high-speed chase, I learned that there is no penalty in the state of Minnesota for endangering the public while fleeing the police. I’ve been working https://t.co/6youusQhFY".

The following day, on September 9, 2025, Coleman shared a more personal update featuring her children: "School photos! (I feel as though Charles, the one in green, captures how most adults feel trying to survive 2025 ha ha). Love these monkeys https://t.co/9pEhcbntgI".

On September 10, 2025, she responded publicly to an incident involving political violence and referenced her early career experience with Charlie Kirk: "I don’t even have any words right now. I wish I could unsee that video. Charlie Kirk gave me one of my very first jobs in politics, when he was still running the company out of his parents garage. The political violence has to stop. Free speech has to be upheld in this nation or".

Coleman serves as a member of the Minnesota Senate and has previously advocated for changes to state law regarding penalties for fleeing law enforcement—a topic that gained personal relevance after her own family experienced a high-speed chase firsthand.
