State Representative Bobbie Harder (R–Henderson Twp.) has issued a statement following the death of Isabella “Bella” Grace Oscarson, a 26-year-old firefighter from Watertown. Oscarson died last week while serving with the Idaho Department of Lands.

“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Bella Oscarson, a young firefighter from Watertown whose life was dedicated to service. Bella courageously put herself on the front lines to protect both people and our natural resources, and her loss will be deeply felt in our community and across Minnesota.

My thoughts and prayers are with Bella’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We honor her memory and the ultimate sacrifice she made in the line of duty,” said Rep. Harder.

Funeral services for Oscarson are scheduled for Saturday, October 4 at the Church of St. Charles Borromeo in St. Anthony. Governor Walz has ordered flags across Minnesota to be flown at half-staff that day in her honor.
