The 2020 primaries are still on schedule despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Minnesota is one area that is not leaving anything to chance as proper preparations are underway. Rep. Jim Nash held what he termed as "productive engagement" with State Government Finance Committee chair and other interested parties on how to keep Minnesota safe while voting is underway.

However, Nash was forced to vote ‘no' after the bill they had negotiated successfully was ‘hijacked’ by DFL leadership, according to his Facebook post.

According to Nash, the DFL leadership took a bipartisan bill in the opposite direction, something that didn’t sit well with him. As a result of this, he was forced to vote against it and feels that the DFL leadership has interfered with something useful to the people of Minnesota.

With the ongoing coronavirus crisis, authorities are trying to find ways to keep people safe and plan for the coming primaries and general election.
