Rep. Dawn Gillman, a Minnesota state legislator, posted a series of tweets in early September 2025 highlighting personal encounters and political commentary.

On September 3, 2025, Gillman shared an anecdote about meeting a fellow supporter of the Montana Grizzlies while shopping. She wrote, "When you holler “Go Griz” to a stranger, (now friend RC) in Costco in MN. Of course you gotta get a picture and hear the fun Griz stories."

Two days later, on September 5, 2025, Gillman commented on economic pressures faced by Minnesotans and criticized Governor Tim Walz’s administration. She stated, "When you are punching the clock, working more than one job, trying to figure out how to pay your bills in MN……remember this picture and know that this is happening under our current @GovTimWalz and his administration. This is our hard earned money that others are squandering."

Later that same day, Gillman posted another message referencing excitement for an upcoming Montana Grizzlies football game: "Who’s ready? Griz Nation one more sleep @MontanaGrizFB @UMGRIZZLIES @eli_gillman @montegillman #Gogriz"
