The Mentor Network issued the following announcement on May 1.

To help the individuals she serves stay connected and positive, Claire Martinez, Program Supervisor at REM North Dakota's residential program in Manvel, ND, started a greeting card program, aptly named the Hearts Program. Every day, team members assist individuals in designing, writing and mailing greeting cards to family members, guardians, team members, and other individuals supported by REM North Dakota. The plan is to expand their reach by sending cards to other programs across The MENTOR Network, spreading positivity and cheer across the country!

“I am the proud recipient of one of the cards, so I can tell you first hand this is a wonderful way of reaching out to others to say ‘Hi, I am thinking about you and hope you are well,’” said Nora Sanganoo-Storey, Area Director with REM North Dakota. What a great idea!
