After the recent death of Andre Conley, a 17-year-old senior at Patrick Henry High School who had worked for Republican Lacy Johnson’s congressional campaign, North Community High School Principal Mauri Friestleben posted a video to Facebook in which she said that Minneapolis feels as chaotic as a classroom where the teacher has simply given up.

Conley’s death was the 59th homicide Minneapolis has already experienced this year, according to reporting by Alpha News.

“I know for me I am so absolutely, 100% over it. For those of you who do not know what is happening in the City of Minneapolis, let me help you understand,” Friestleben said, according to Alpha News. “So we literally are in a city right now that is completely and entirely out of control. I have to absolutely just say it.”

She also said that the perception people in the city don’t want law enforcement in their communities is the result of the city being “held hostage by the voices of a few,” according to Alpha News.

“Because the people who I’m around need and want good law enforcement,” she said, according to Alpha News. “The people who are in my community need and want good law enforcement, and have the maturity to be able to say that we need good law enforcement to need and want us.”
