Minnesota State Senator Julia Coleman has recently used her social media platform to address issues ranging from public health advocacy to legislative ethics and personal reflections. Coleman, who serves as Assistant Minority Leader in the Minnesota Senate, posted several messages between July 18 and July 19, 2025.

On July 18, Coleman highlighted a bipartisan initiative focused on menstrual product safety. She wrote, "Make Menstrual Products Healthy Again! I’m leading a bipartisan group of 19 female lawmakers from across the country calling on HHS Secretary @RobertKennedyJr to take action on toxic chemicals in menstrual products. No one should have to worry about the safety of products they". This statement reflects ongoing concerns about chemical exposure in consumer goods and efforts by lawmakers at both state and federal levels to regulate potentially harmful substances.

Later that day, Coleman addressed a recent controversy involving a fellow legislator. In her post dated July 19, she stated, "As Assistant Minority Leader, I stood before my colleagues and demanded Justin Eichorn’s resignation the moment his felony charges came to light. Senate Republicans acted swiftly, choosing decency over power, and cleaned our side of the aisle. For over a year, we’ve called for". Coleman's remarks refer to actions taken by Minnesota Senate Republicans following criminal allegations against Senator Justin Eichorn. Her comments underscore an emphasis on ethical standards within the legislative body.

In a lighter note on July 19, Coleman shared a personal sentiment: "I love my 6 AM crew ".

Coleman's call for safer menstrual products comes amid broader national debates about chemical safety regulations in consumer items—a topic that has drawn attention from public health advocates seeking stronger oversight from agencies such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). As Assistant Minority Leader, Coleman's leadership role places her at the forefront of policy discussions in Minnesota's legislative process.
