Representative Dawn Gillman (R – Dassel) was sworn in for her second term in the Minnesota House of Representatives as the 2025 legislative session began. She stated her commitment to addressing issues important to Minnesota families and ensuring accountability for taxpayers.

“We’re back at the Capitol to do the work that Minnesotans sent us here to do,” said Rep. Gillman. “This session, House Republicans are committed to delivering on the issues that matter most to Minnesota. Rep. Gillman emphasizes that “we need to ease the financial burdens on families, fighting for tax relief, ensuring our elections are secure, putting an end to fraud in government programs, and building a strong foundation for the future of Minnesota.”

During the first months of the session, much of Rep. Gillman's work will take place in House committees. For the 2025-2026 biennium, she will serve as GOP Vice Chair on the Human Services Finance and Policy Committee and will also be a member of both the Health and Finance Policy Committee and Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee.

Gillman continued, “We have a lot of work ahead of us, and I’m committed to fighting for policies that improve healthcare access, promote quality education, and safeguard our environment—while making sure we are being good stewards of Minnesota taxpayers' hard-earned dollars.”

Rep. Gillman encouraged constituents from District 17A to remain engaged with legislative matters by reaching out with questions or ideas through phone or email. She also suggested subscribing to her newsletter or following her social media accounts for updates.
