CITY OF VICTORIA: Grab your mittens and hat... and snow boots because tonight is Light Up Victoria!

Christmas2

City Of Victoria issued the following announcement on Dec. 01.

Grab your mittens and hat... and snow boots because tonight is Light Up Victoria! Join our holiday gathering in downtown Victoria for free winter activities and community performances as we turn on our holiday lights for the first time of the season.

Light Up Victoria Performance Schedule at the Bandstand

5:45-6:00 p.m. — Caroling by the Lake Auburn Moravian Church Choir

6:00-6:15 p.m. — Mayoral Greetings and the Lighting of the Bayfront Plaza

6:20-6:40 p.m. — Dance Performance by Studio West Dance Center

6:45-7:00 p.m. — Choir Performance by Holy Family Catholic High School

After the lights turn on, enjoy all the free activities — hayrides sponsored by JW Real Estate Group - John Wichmann, photos with Santa sponsored by the Victoria Fire Department and Victoria Business Association, free apple cider sponsored by ENKI Brewing, winter crafts in Victoria's Carver County Library.

Cane & Cotton will also be available for purchase!

A special thank you to the Victoria Business Association and Power of Life Alternative & Holistic Health for their sponsorship of the downtown lights and to By The Woods for the wonderful tree that will be up for the holiday season!

If interested, bring an unwrapped gift to the event tomorrow for the Toys for Tots collection. Marines will be there to pick up the Toys for Tots gifts that all of our awesome local businesses have been collecting this holiday season. Len Olson, organizer of the collection and Victoria resident, let us know that they are half way to their goal of 2,022 gifts for local children in need.

Make sure to dress warm and see you at Light Up Victoria tonight!
